JFK

Who killed JFK? John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Hero, inspiration, leader. Like every great man h had his flaws. On the 22nd of November 1960 Kennedy was assassinated. 50 years later and people can still not decide on who was the killer. One theory is that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone; theorists say that LHO fired 3 shots from the sixth floor of the Texas school book depository building. Despite the Warren commission stating this theory I and other historians argue that Kennedy’s murder was a conspiracy plot due to the lack of evidence on all subjects. The CIA is the largest suspects for the assassination due to the facts and evidence shown. I believe the CIA where clearly behind the plot due to the cold war ideas and Kennedy’s light attitude towards communism. During this essay I will discuss and debate the two theories and clearly explain why the CIA was obviously behind the plot. Lee Harvey Oswald was an ex-marine who was charged for the Presidents murder in Dallas, Texas. During this paragraph I will explain why some historians believe that LHO was behind the murder and why they are wrong. Oswald was never a normal child whilst growing up. He went through a lot of childhood trauma. Oswald spent most of his childhood growing up in orphanages due to his mother working. He never knew his father. Evidence that Oswald was unstable was a psychological test his school took on him. The test determined Oswald was emotionally unstable. Another piece of evidence is Oswald’s school record which had high accounts of truancy. This is a reason why people believe Oswald was the killer because he was angry all through his life and he saw Kennedy as one chance to be recognised as a person. The CIA where the most powerful organisation in the world of they wanted to they could make people disappear but was the President a step too far? During this paragraph I will explain why the CIA had the perfect motive for Killing JFK. The Cold War had just begun. America and Russia were at war with each other, although the war contained no direct contact between the two countries. Rivalry was high including the space race and completion to new levels in the Olympics. When the Vietnamese war broke out the CIA wanted to send more troops into Vietnam. The main goal of this was to eliminate all communisms because they saw them as a form of “evil.” When Kennedy refused to send more troops into Vietnam the CIA did not like this. They saw Kennedy as light on Communism and the only way to get what they wanted was to remove Kennedy and replace him with someone they wanted who would agree to send troops into Vietnam. To conclude, I believe that the CIA were clearly behind the plot and that they did this plainly to focus on the war against communism. This is clear due to the facts of the assassination and my own knowledge.
