JFK
Who killed JFK?
John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Hero, inspiration, leader. Like every great man h had his flaws. On the 22nd of November 1960 Kennedy was assassinated. 50 years later and people can still not decide on who was the killer. One theory is that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone; theorists say that LHO fired 3 shots from the sixth floor of the Texas school book depository building. Despite the Warren commission stating this theory I and other historians argue that Kennedy’s murder was a conspiracy plot due to the lack of evidence on all subjects. The CIA is the largest suspects for the assassination due to the facts and evidence shown. I believe the CIA where clearly behind the plot due to the cold war ideas and Kennedy’s light attitude towards communism. During this essay I will discuss and debate the two theories and clearly explain why the CIA was obviously behind the plot.
Lee Harvey Oswald was an ex-marine who was charged for the Presidents murder in Dallas, Texas. During this paragraph I will explain why some historians believe that LHO was behind the murder and why they are wrong. Oswald was never a normal child whilst growing up. He went through a lot of childhood trauma. Oswald spent most of his childhood growing up in orphanages due to his mother working. He never knew his father. Evidence that Oswald was unstable was a psychological test his school took on him. The test determined Oswald was emotionally unstable. Another piece of evidence is Oswald’s school record which had high accounts of truancy. This is a reason why people believe Oswald was the killer because he was angry all through his life and he saw Kennedy as one chance to be recognised as a person.
The CIA where the most powerful organisation in the world of they wanted to they could make people disappear but was the President a step too far? During this paragraph I will explain why the CIA had the perfect motive for Killing JFK. The Cold War had just begun. America and Russia were at war with each other, although the war contained no direct contact between the two countries. Rivalry was high including the space race and completion to new levels in the Olympics. When the Vietnamese war broke out the CIA wanted to send more troops into Vietnam. The main goal of this was to eliminate all communisms because they saw them as a form of “evil.” When Kennedy refused to send more troops into Vietnam the CIA did not like this. They saw Kennedy as light on Communism and the only way to get what they wanted was to remove Kennedy and replace him with someone they wanted who would agree to send troops into Vietnam.
To conclude, I believe that the CIA were clearly behind the plot and that they did this plainly to focus on the war against communism. This is clear due to the facts of the assassination and my own knowledge.

Smoking is extremely bad for your body, during this article I will explain why smoking is not good for your body.
Tests on 8,800 people over 50 have showed cigarettes can damage memory
Smoking is known to be highly damaging to physical health, being a major factor in cancer and heart disease.
Now, however, its alarming effects on the mental well-being of millions of smokers have been outlined by British scientists.
Lighting up regularly has been associated with a sharp decline in the performance of the brain, according to their study.
They found that middle-aged smokers performed less well on tests compared with those without the tobacco habit.
The project examined memory, planning and overall mental ability after four and eight years. The tests included asking people to learn new words or name as many animals as they could in a minute.
Researchers concluded that smoking ‘consistently’ reduced all three performance measures after four years

The relationship of a father and daughter in the Elizabethan age is much different than today. For example in the Elizabethan age children were supposed to respect their parents and do what they are told . They were never allowed to back chat or be rude and if they were then they were punished. Also they didn't really look after there children and weren't very close to them because the maids looked after the children a lot of the time. Even though women and children had no rights the head of the house, most likely the father, were allowed to beat the children into doing their request .Today fathers tend to be softer than years ago and have nicer relationships with their daughters and other family members. They spend more time with their daughters and aren't as strict as they were also interested in their daughter's hobbies and feelings.
Forced marriages were popular at this time. Daughters were expected to marry the person that their father had chosen for them . If they didn't they were treated terrible. However the church was against forced marriage that's why in Romeo and Juliet the church kept it secret and let them get married there. This still happens today in many cultures. I believe that every Elizabethan father and daughter relationships in the 1800's is just like the one from Romeo and Juliet because they had arranged marriages and they were supposed to be polite and proper. In the Elizabethan times the fathers were always the head of the house and everything they said was obeyed. Today this is different because women have equal rights in most places.

Racism against Travellers in England goes back to Tudor times. The Gypsies first arrived in England from France in the Middle Ages.
They were regarded as a dark people who had come from somewhere strange.
Severe laws were brought in very soon after their arrival. Parliament passed the Egyptians Act in 1530.
The Act said Gypsies were criminals. In 1547, Edward VI imposed a law that forced Gypsies to be rounded up, branded, and enslaved.
A few years later, the death penalty was imposed on the Gypsies
You could be hanged for being a Gypsy or even for associating with Gypsies, and a number of people died.
Gypsies faced violence and expulsion in many other European countries. They had arrived in the Balkans by the 14th century and in Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal by the 15th century.
In some cities, such as Paris, the church ordered gypsy parties to leave because they read palms and told people’s fortunes. They became convenient scapegoats.
This deep prejudice against Travellers has been carried forward to today.
The 18th and 19th centuries saw a terrible phase across Europe as governments tried to force Travellers to “assimilate”. In some cases, they took gypsy children away from their parents and handed them to non-Travellers.
The gypsies are still not fully accepted in 2013 as people refer to them as "gypo's"

The battery egg line of work is appalling because animals have to go to the toilet in their cage which is where they live and where they have to eat their food from. Also their feet can rot because of the acid in their waste. They are not allowed out of their cage ever only when they die they are allowed out. Animals like hens should be allowed outgo run free like normal animals, which is why many chef's, people, and the general public believe that free range eggs are best. But caged hens (battery eggs) can also be better because they are cheaper as the hands do not need as much care and looking after as free range; therefore they are cheaper to keep so it means the eggs are cheaper in our local supermarket. I believe that free range is best and I think animals should not be treated that way. Jamie Oliver agrees with me as he has his own TV programme showing chicks getting killed like what they do to chickens before they sell them in the shops and that is just like what they are doing with caged hens, I strongly don't approve of this.
